Community Guidelines

Welcome to TravBudd™ Community Guidelines. We strive to foster genuine connections through shared interests and in-person experiences. Our community is built on trust, respect, empathy, and inclusivity. By accessing or using TravBudd™, our websites, or our services, you agree to adhere to these Community Guidelines. We recommend you read this in conjunction with our Terms and Conditions Agreement and our Privacy Policy.

To ensure a safe and positive experience for all users, please adhere to the following community guidelines:

1. Age Restrictions

a. You must be at least 18 years old to use TravBudd™. Any violation will result in immediate account termination.

b. Creating a profile that intentionally misrepresents you as being under the age of 18 is not allowed.

 

c. We reserve the right to ask for your legal ID to verify your age.

2. Be Respectful and Lead with Empathy

a. Treat others with kindness, respect, and empathy. Treat others as you would like to be treated. Respect diverse opinions, backgrounds, and preferences.

b. Avoid discriminatory language or behavior based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic.

c. Any form of hate speech, including racism, sexism, homophobia, or other discriminatory language, is strictly prohibited.

d. Harassment, bullying, or any form of intimidation is strictly prohibited. This includes unwanted messages, unsolicited explicit content, or any behavior that makes others feel uncomfortable.

e. Harassment, discrimination, and offensive behavior of any kind is strictly prohibited.

3. Authenticity and Honesty

a. Be genuine in your interactions. Use recent and accurate photos on your profile. Do not misrepresent yourself or engage in catfishing.

b. Misleading content or impersonation of others is strictly prohibited. Honesty is key to building meaningful connections.

4. Appropriate Content

a. Keep content appropriate and respectful. Refrain from posting or sharing offensive, explicit, or inappropriate material. No hate speech, harassment, or bullying is allowed.

b. No explicit or sexually suggestive content in profile photos. Avoid using images with nudity, violence, or any content that violates our content guidelines.

5. Personal Information and Privacy

a. Do not share personal contact information, such as phone numbers or addresses, on public profiles or in public conversations.

b. Avoid sharing financial details, or any sensitive data.

c. Respect the privacy of others. Do not share someone else's personal information without their explicit consent.

6. Safety First

a. Always meet your mutually accepted and confirmed TravBudd™ match in a populated, public place and stay in a populated, public place.

b. Inform friends or family of your plans, including where you’re going, when you’re going, what you’re wearing, the name of the person you’re meeting, and when you expect to return home. Have your cell phone charged and with you at all times.

c. Be in control of your transportation, including how you get to and from your chosen event or experience. Always have a backup transportation plan, such as a ride-share app or a friend to pick you up, in the event your original transportation plan does not work out.

d. Be aware of your personal surroundings. Do not leave drinks, food, or personal items unattended. Know where your drink or food comes from and know where it is at all times. Only accept drinks or food poured or served directly from the bartender or server. Many substances that are slipped into drinks to facilitate sexual assault are odorless, colorless, and tasteless. Also, keep your phone, purse, wallet, personal belongings, and anything containing personal information on you at all times.

e. Be aware of the effects of drugs or alcohol on you. These substances can impair your judgment and your alertness. If a TravBudd™ user tries to pressure you to use drugs or drink more than you’re comfortable with, stand your ground and end the interaction immediately.

f. If you feel uncomfortable at any moment during the meetup or while sharing an experience with a follow TravBudd™ user, end the interaction immediately. Trust your instincts. If something is off or you feel unsafe, ask someone around for help, ask the event or location security for help, ask a bartender or server for help.

g. Your safety is important to us. Please take precautions when interacting with others. Report any suspicious or inappropriate behavior to local authorities immediately.

7. Consent and Boundaries

a. Respect the boundaries and comfort level of others. Always obtain consent before initiating physical or intimate contact.

b. Do not pressure or coerce anyone into unwanted interactions. Report any user who pressures or violates your boundaries.

8. Report

Report any suspicious or inappropriate behavior to us immediately. Report any user who violates these guidelines or engages in inappropriate behavior.

9. Moderation and Enforcement

a. TravBudd™ reserves the right to moderate content and take action against users who violate these guidelines, including account suspension or termination.

b. Appeals for moderation decisions can be submitted through email at info@TravBudd.com.

c. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account or use of TravBudd™ at any time for any reason, with or without notice.

d. You may also terminate your account at any time by contacting us at info@TravBudd.com with the subject line “Terminate Account”. Please include your first and last name, phone number, and email.

10. Follow Local Laws and Regulations

a. Respect and adhere to local laws and regulations. Any illegal activity will result in immediate removal from TravBudd™.

b. Respect the locations and spaces of the chosen events and experiences. Follow the event host or organizer’s rules, guidelines, and regulations. Any violation will result in immediate account suspension or termination.

11. Compliance with the TravBudd™ Terms and Conditions Agreement

a. Familiarize yourself with and adhere to the TravBudd™Terms and Conditions Agreement, including our Privacy Policy and this Community Guidelines.

b. Platform Manipulation: We prioritize fostering a community built on genuine connections, so any attempts to artificially influence connections, matchings, conversations, or engagement, including through the use of automation or scripting is strictly prohibited.

Failure to comply with these community guidelines may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent removal from TravBudd™.
